Cellini Spiral ......

Hi all

I arrived home yesterday evening after going down to Cape Town for a few days to help Brigette to settle into her new flat in Muizenberg.  She has moved to Cape Town to do her Phd in Paleontology at UCT with her field work at the Fossil Park near Langebaan.  Her flat is a block away from the beach and within walking distance from the park at the estuary so Hero and his daily walks are sorted.  Her flat is gorgeous if a little eccentric but she is getting used to having loads of space AND a king-size bed!

Here is a picture of the view from the garden in front of her flat.......... or not.  I took the picture with my new cell phone but have now discovered that I need to do stuff to get the phone and the computer to communicate in a friendly fashion so you will have to wait to see the photo while I sort out the technologies which in my case may take some time.  She can see the mountain from the garden and hear the sea.  How magic is that?

Now I need to get going with preparations for Saturday's meeting.

Remember we are making a Cellini Spiral Necklace (picture above) courtesy of Manie Kriel who has kindly allowed us to use his version of the design.  I will be getting kits from him so I need to have the numbers in good time as he is a long drive from here to collect them.
Please let me know by Wednesday (10th July) the latest if you want to do the project and what your colour preference is.  I will do my best to get the right colours for you. I already have 4 ladies who have confirmed so get your mails in to me asap.
There is no pressure as usual so if you are not in the mood for the project just bring your usual workbasket (and light / magnifier) and spend a day with us out on the farm.  Everyone is welcome.  I just need numbers for catering purposes. (Cost: R50 for the refreshments and lunch)

I have had several mails from new ladies and am hoping that they will make the journey to meet all of us.

Looking forward to hearing from you all soon.
Keep those hands busy.
