Is it not very scary how fast time seems to pass? Once again, I have just realised that our next meeting is on Saturday coming and I have not been posting as I actually want to. Oh well .......... AND the year is half way gone!
On Saturday we are having another "free" day. In other words, no workshop is happening. Our friend Megan, who was going to show us how to make a polymer clay bead, has had a bit of a set back and is unable to make it. I am sure that you all join me in wishing her a speedy recovery after the major surgery she had to endure. Hang in there Megan we hope to see you at Crafty Ladies soon.
We may be having another free day in July (the 19th) all depending on how Brigette's arrangements pan out for her visit to Gauteng to attend a conference round about the same time. I will keep you informed.
In August (16th), Tanya Singleton is going to give us a workshop on Fondant. That's cake icing (more or less) to those of us who are not as well-informed as others! Please keep the date in mind as I am sure that this will be a really interesting class. I will let you have details closer to the time.
Back to Saturday, I am available as usual for anyone wanting to do beads. You just have to let me know if you want to do this and which project takes your fancy. Otherwise, we just do the usual relax and enjoy day. Soup is on the menu for the cold weather. Please let me know if you are coming so that no one goes hungry!!
I am working very hard to get my webite neat and tidy but it seems that there is always a gremlin to make it a little more difficult. To start with, I am quite technologically challenged so everything takes me a lot longer to do. Secondly, on Friday afternoon my notebook/laptop died. It absolutely refuses to switch on. So I phoned Nolan in desperation and yesterday he set me up with a brand spanking new computer. YaY! BUT I cannot access any of the data on the other machine. I know. I know, where are my backups? Well, the external hard drive which I was using also crashed a couple of weeks ago and so now I am seriously in trouble regarding the files on the old machine.
I just received a big order of fire polished crystals which now needs to be added to website but the figures are all - you guessed it - in the old machine. So now I must go and rework the prices before I can input them onto the website. Please excuse me while I attend to that and end off this post now.
